The rising costs of food, fuel, and foreclosures
have many pet owners struggling to provide for their pets. Animal shelters, rescue groups and animal care
and control agencies are seeing an increase in surrendered animals as homeowners
struggle to make living arrangements that may or may not include their
pets.

all the hype about the Olympics, of course all we could think about is
dog sporting events! Although the attention the Olympic receives would
probably always outweigh the publicity over sporting events –
we thought our four-legged friends would appreciate a little pat on the

Are You Looking for Your Famous Pet's Picture?
Horses lock their muscles in their legs so they can go to sleep standing up and not fall over. This was a useful trick when horses were wild animals and needed to be able to make a fast get away from predators!
